Originally from England, living in Madrid, working as an English teacher and enjoying the freedom of graduate life. I love eating out, tiled walls and anything in vinegar.

This blog is an attempt to impose a creative routine onto my day to day working life. Taking a daily photo is helping me to slow down and take a closer look at my surroundings. Living abroad isn’t always as exciting as people might imagine and so I want to remember every day, however mundane!

All photos are unedited and taken with either a Canon Ixus 130 or a Canon EOS Rebel T3.

  1. Hi Izzi! Thank you for popping over to visit the English Fandango… I started my Spanish experience seventeen years ago – it was only meant to last six months but I didn’t leave until 2003! Loving your photos, they bring back wonderful memories. Good luck with your project.

  2. Amazing idea! Incredible how quickly the days pass actually, and before you know it a new city isn’t that new anymore and you don’t even know how it happend! How long are you going to be in Madrid for?

    • Thank you! It’s amazing how quickly time flies! I think I’m going to be in Madrid for at least another year, as I have just got a new job starting in October, so there are many more photos to come!
