After a day of fretting about summer jobs, trudging through the freezing rain and wind to go food shopping (spring, where are you?!) and a full private class schedule, I decided to take a break and try out a recipe I found online with some of our slightly worse for wear strawberries. This is the beginning of a balsamic vinegar, strawberry and black pepper jam, and it turned out amazing! Sweet but tangy, with a definite kick from the black pepper. I had some with a yoghurt, and I can’t wait to try it accompanied with goats cheese.
