So ironically, on the only day with no processions, the sun came out and it was beautiful weather all day! We made the most of the temporary break in the rain to go out for tapas, something we hadn’t managed to do since we arrived in Linares. So we, and 95% of the population of Linares headed out for tapas. We luckily managed to snag a table on the terraza at Marsella, a basic neighbourhood bar, with a divine tapa de la casa (bread with olive oil, salmorejo, a huge slice of jamon cocido and lots of black pepper and oregano!) We stayed for a few tapas there, before migrating on for cafe con Baileys, and finally ended up on our friend’s roof terrace for a copa as the sun went down. A perfect Spanish Spring afternoon – so glad we got at least one!
