10/2/13 – Spring is (not quite) here…

Lulled into a false sense of security by the recent sunny weather, I decided that it was a good time to go for a walk in the Parque del Oeste, the closest big park to where we live. Wrong! It was freezing cold, with a horrible wind that made my ears hurt so much. So we toughed it out for as long as possible, watching the skateboarders and children on rollerblades, before heading in from the cold for a coffee in Cafe Van Gogh, a hilarious cafe where you can sit in replicas of the scenes from his paintings. Managed to get to the metro just before it started to rain. As much as I wish it were, Spring is definitely not here yet….

  1. I enjoy the style of your blog. Mine can get long-winded and often tries to tackle major subjects, while yours gives a pleasantly succinct account of your day. My goal is to remember my time in Madrid years down the line, and yours would do the same in a much more quaint way. I envy this.
